Lady love, my lady love

I've been trying out the gazillion nails varnishes I received for Christmas over the past few weeks and it's safe to say that I will definitely be repurchasing a lot of them! My personal favourites are the Umberto Giannini set. There were 5 of these gorgeous varnishes and I'll do a post on them all once I've tried the last two.

This colour is called Lady Love and it's a nude/pale pink colour. It's absolutely gorgeous! In photos it looks quite white although in person it has a bit more colour to it. It works well on every skin tone and looks good with any outfit. It has quite an elegant feel to it, very cute and makes it look like you've received a manicure!

Before apply the nail polish I use Topshops Under and Over protector coat which basically prevents your nails from becoming discoloured by the varnish. I also apply a top coat of this after the colour as it makes it last longer and give it a lovely glossy effect.

P.s ~ thought you'd enjoy a wee picture of my lovely little doggy Paddy; he was very intrigued by my photo taking haha!

January favourites

After Christmas I was left with so many new products to try out so, after weeks of testing and mini-mind reviewing to myself I thought it was time I share these products with the world! Admittedly, I am a wee bit obsessed with Topshop lipstick so when the chance came for me to sneak it onto my Christmas list, I grabbed it! I'm a sucker for red lipsticks. I'm just in love with them, the way you can wear them day and night and I particularly like it with my tan skin tone. It's moist and stays on for a good few hours before you need to top up. It's a gorgeous colour and completely worth £8! I also seem to have quite short lashes that aren't very curled :( So, when I received this Cosmopolitan eyelash curler I was over the moon! Clamp your lashes down and hold it for literally 10 seconds and you have an amazing set of curled lashes. Finish with BareMinerals flawless definition curl & lengthen mascara and you have a lovely set of eyelashes!

For some odd reason everybody bought me nail varnishes this year and I've ended up with over 30 new colours! I've only tried around 4 colours and so far this one id my favourite. It's a lovely mermaid blue/purple  which shines in the light to give it a shimmery effect. It's in a miniature bottle but one coat is enough for it to last for a full week when topped with Topshops under and over nail protector varnish. Now, I never used to use concealer because I never needed it! I had clear skin for years until I hit 15 and broke out with horrible pimples here, there and everywhere! Sadly, concealer is now a regular buy for me but I couldn't have asked for a better one than Maybelline's 24 hour stay! It really does last for a full day without top ups and it covers and hides blemishes perfectly!

Finally, the Nivea anti-wrinkle eye cream is a god sent! I don't need to worry about wrinkles, just yet being only a teenager! But I don't use this product for the wrinkle thing, I use it because after two applications on my under eye bags, they were gone by the morning! I now use it every single night and my bags are invisible  it's amazing! Also, my eyebrows are a really light brown so where my arch is there is a really sparse area therefore I use the mighty MUA brunette eyebrow pencil which has a lovely creamy consistency. It goes on well and doesn't look like you've pencilled in your eyebrows if you do it subtly! So, again another lovely buy and I would recommend all of these smashing beauties!!!

Hope you're having a good week
(I've had one full of exams, ugh!)
and hope to see you soon!

And your eyes tell me how much you care...

                                                    Bonjour lovely readers,

I'm really sad now that Christmas is officially over, all of our decorations are down including the tree which is still very much alive so it's sitting in the back garden, haha. When I get my own house, Christmas decorations will be up 24:7 and we'll have a mini Christmas every Sunday, sound good?

Anyway, for Christmas I was incredibly lucky to get my main present that I'd asked for, iPod touch 5th generation, so as some little surprises my mum and dad bought me little sets of make up which were cute! I got these great Studio sets (nail it, eye create, dark moods) apologies for the glare in the pictures I took them went it was very dark and it was the only day I had enough time to do it. In the nail it set, there are 9 varnishes in beautiful colours, they coat really well and after two coats you're set for a full week! In the dark moods set you get four darker coloured nail varnishes, the same brand as in the other set, the brand is called Studio. Also you get 8 shades of eye shadow. I am completely in love with these colours, they're just great for getting ready to go out whether it be day or night.

Finally, in the last set their is another 9 eye shadows with 3 pots of eye shadow dust, very similar to Barry M's dazzle dust so I was very pleased with this set! It also came with a double sided brush but it's not very good because the eye shadow falls straight off it before you can get it to your lid, so you're better off using a usual eye shadow brush like the one pictured last.

The last eye shadow set I got was a MAC palette and let me just say, these eye shadows are amazing! There are some plain basic colours and then lots of colours that have a bit of sparkle in them which is great. Don't worry they don't make your lids go glitter overload they just add a bit of a sparkle that bounces of any light making your eyes sparkle!!! I would highly recommend all three sets as well as the MAC eye palette, as they were gifts I don't know where they are from but I'm sure a quick search on google and they'll be sitting right on your screen.

Cheer up, the school weeks almost over!
(I haven't been back to school yet seeing as my school trousers
have gone missing so I can't get dressed! So, I've just been
                                           sitting around doing monotonous revision!)
